How do i prevent the skin around my nails from chipping and peeling?

Use a cuticle remover to soften them and get rid of old, dry hang nails. Use a cuticle trimmer to trim off any hang nails that stick out. Do not cut off all of your cuticles; only trim off the dry part.

OPI's Avoplex cuticle remover is the best one. Just apply it and leave on for 5 minutes. Rinse your nails %26amp; rub off the excess cuticle w/ a wash cloth.

Use a cuticle balm or nail oil to moisturize them.

(ex. Solar Oil, OPI Avoplex) Vit E oil, jojoba oil, Aquaphor Healing Ointment, Vaseline or plain Chapstick will work too.

Use a moisturizing soap to wash your hands %26amp; apply lotion throughout the day.How do i prevent the skin around my nails from chipping and peeling?
I have been told it is down to biting your nails if you do not bite your nails try using a moisturiser or wearing gloves in harsh weather. How do i prevent the skin around my nails from chipping and peeling?
frequent use of hand cream, like after every hadn washing, and rub it into your cuticles. or you can rub in some vaseline after every washing.... also use cuticle oil at night
Cuticle l cream is great, or other really good alternatives (often found in cuticle creams) are vitamin E oil, or Castor oil, applied directly to the cuticle and surrounding area.
Get a manicure often and moisturize constantly.
Vitamin E (liquid), olive oil, Dr. Haushka neem nail oil and do not cut them.
I have that same problem but only on my right middle finger. I don't know why.
file your nails everyother day
Use cuticle cream. You can get them at drugstores for less than 5 bucks!
Use moisturising lotion after taking a bath.
Moisturise your hands daily, don't dry them out (this includes washing them too much)
Besides alot of lotion, weekly manicures. Also, make it a nightly ritual to put on a heavy, greasy lotion before bed each night, let in soak into your hands while you sleep. Also, if working'/cleaning with chemicals like bleach or immonia, use gloves.
have manecure done.....
Nail oil is great or vitamin e oil works too!
