How do i cut my senegal parrots nails?

my senegal parrot is about 1 1/2 years old. he isn't well socialized because i got him when he was about 1 year and my parents friends didn't really care about socializing him with other things and animals so when i get close to him with the clippers he runs away and i cant bring him to the vet because of some personal issues.. can anyone please help me!How do i cut my senegal parrots nails?
first and foremost.. everyone that owns a bird should have quick stop. this is for bleeding and is a powder that u can get a pinch of and the put on a bleed.

get a towel. wrap the bird in the towel so that u can get to his feet without his head being exposed. then u may lay the bird, feet up, in your lap and take your time. take each nail and cut the tip off with nail clippers or pedipaw drill. don't cut short as this will bleed,, just a little is enough. How do i cut my senegal parrots nails?
You are going to have to find a way around the personal issues. You can't do it yourself. Most cities have vets who make house calls. Or, you could call Petco/Petsmart and see if they clip bird's nails.
use pedi-paws!

what a great way to cut- but not hurt- your pets nails.
