My male chihuahua ripped out one of his nails the quick is still there i think cuz i found the nail its hollow?

hes still running around on it.


seems fine.


but im worryed.


it stops bleeding then when he jumps off my bed or couch it bleeds but i thin its just cuz the pressure he puts on it.


im verrrrrrry worryed about him ..

A good pet first aid kit would have quick stop/quick clot in it for nail issues. Cornstarch will also clot the nail bed, apply in generous amounts and bandage, or hold a towel on it for 10 minutes, it should clot on your way to the vets. I usually don't cry ';vet'; like most people do for every minor condition out there, but this is very painful for the dog and could become easily infected. He may need Rimadyl and antibiotics.
